Short Courses
These courses range from 6 to 60 hours, enabling participants to update or learn new skills in their specific area of interest. There are four yearly intakes in Jan, Apr, Jul and Sep. Here are some good reasons why you should apply:

Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) System

The Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) System is a national continuing education and training and certificaiton system developed by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) for skills upgrading and employability enhancement of adult learners. It comprises a full competency map covering occupations in an industry with clear career development and training pathways

Short Course

Short Courses are short, part-time courses designed to provide task-oriented skills training. You will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement at the end of your course if you attain an attendance of at least 75%. There are no exams for Short Courses.

Workforce Skills Qualifications
Intake is usually conducted in January, April, July and October each year. You will be able to register for the classes approximately 1 1/2 months before each intake. Class confirmation will be made 1 to 2 weeks before course commencement. You may apply through post or personally at our Customer Services Centres.

CET Course
Higher Nitec
The intake for Part-time Higher Nitec courses start in April and October. Registration for April intake will be open in February, and for the October intake, in August. Details of the exact registration dates, centre and class schedule will be published in the major newspapers when registration opens.
 Nitec / ISCThe intake for Part-time Nitec/ISC courses start in January and July. Registration for January intake will be open in October, and for the July intake, in May. Details of the exact registration dates, centre and class schedule will be published in the major newspapers when registration opens.
 

 
How to Apply
  

Application Procedure for Short Courses
Short Courses application will start approximately 2 months before each intake* and will end 1 month before the start of individual courses. Application could be done in the following ways.*January, April, July and September

Online application can be done by using this form.

For online and postal application, it must be followed-up/accompanied with a cheque payment for confirmation of place. Please cross your cheque payable to Institute of Technical Education. At the back of the cheque, please state your Name, NRIC/FIN, course title and contact no.

Walk-in registration
Alternatively, you may come down to any of our Customer Service Centres, in person or authorized representative during the registration period. For registration, please bring along the following:-
  • all relevant documents
  • Applicant’s NRIC, Work Pass or Dependant Pass; and
  • The total fees ( Payment by Cheque, cash, credit card or NETS)
